Job summary

Compass Surgical Partners’ Horizon Baptist Beaches Surgery Center in Jacksonville Beach, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for perioperative care. The role supports pre-op, PACU and step-down areas, providing patient assessment, planning, and safe, efficient care with the surgical team.

The ideal candidate has an accredited RN degree, Florida RN license, and at least 1 year in OR/perioperative nursing, plus BLS and ACLS within 6 months.

• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience.

Horizon Surgery Center Beaches, located on the campus of Baptist Medical Center, our physician-led ambulatory surgery center is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care. The facility features three active operating rooms specializing in Orthopedic Hand, General Surgery, and Neuro-Spine procedures.

Role Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

• Graduate of an accredited RN program

• Current Florida RN license (unencumbered)

• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)

• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)

• Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and manual dexterity

• Exposure to surgical environments, equipment, and patient care areas

• Full-time, on-site position (Monday–Friday)
