Job summary

Horizon Surgery Center South in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. You will assess patients and deliver individualized perioperative nursing throughout the surgical journey.

Responsibilities include monitoring recovery, documenting care, maintaining sterile environments, and coordinating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license.
• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3-5 years).
• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery.
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients.

Role Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• No nights, weekends, holidays, or on call

What You’ll Bring

• Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)
