Job summary

Compass Surgical Partners’ Horizon Baptist Beaches Surgery Center in Jacksonville Beach, FL seeks an experienced RN to support pre-op, PACU, and stepdown care for orthopedic/general/neuro-spine procedures on a physician-led ambulatory campus.

The RN will assess patients, deliver individualized nursing care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes. Schedule: Monday-Friday, PRN hours variable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current FL RN license (unencumbered).
• At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3-5 years).
• Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months).
• Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery.
• Document accurately and communicate with team and patients.
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols.

Role Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care at Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.
