Job summary

The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase is seeking a Registered Nurse for PreOp and PACU care. The RN will ensure patient safety, comfort, and privacy while evaluating patients before discharge.

The role may involve assisting physicians with procedural tasks including conscious sedation and maintaining sterile technique. Qualifications include an accredited RN education, active state RN license, BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years in PACU/critical care preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required, PALS if required by the center.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients in PreOp/PACU.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Provide comprehensive patient care from anesthesia/sedation to discharge planning and evaluation.

Registered Nurse PreOp/PACU at The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay range- Min: $39.93- Max: $49.92.
