Job summary

Timonium Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Pre Op/PACU RN to provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from general anesthesia or sedation. The role emphasizes patient safety, comfort, and privacy, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, and discharge preparation.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, active RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if needed), and strong nursing judgment and communication skills. Prior PACU or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
  • Assists physicians in procedure rooms as needed, including sedation and sterile techniques.
  • Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Timonium Surgery Center is hiring a PRN Pre Op/PACU RN
Pre Op/PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Timonium Surgery Center

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Pay rate: Min: $42.65 to Max: $50.75/hr.
