Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a full-time caregiver to join the Progressive Care team.

You will provide direct patient care, monitor patients, document care activities, and help maintain a safe, clean environment with ready medical equipment. This role emphasizes daily living assistance and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire date; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable experience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: Assisting with daily living activities to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Clinical Monitoring: Observing patients and reporting changes to the nursing team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Direct Patient Care: Assisting with daily living activities (hygiene, mobility, and positioning) to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Clinical Monitoring: Observing patients for physical or emotional changes and immediately reporting updates to the nursing team.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all care activities are properly logged.
• Environmental Management: Overseeing the cleanliness of patient rooms and the readiness of medical equipment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
