Job summary

Methodist Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Family Birth Center team, delivering safe, compassionate care for mothers and newborns. The RN collaborates with families and a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care across shifts.

Flexible overnight options are available, with 12-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts and varying FTE. Required qualifications include an RN license, BLS, and 1+ year L&D experience; BSN preferred with timely progression.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master's degree program in Nursing; BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota RN license.
• 1+ years L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages the episode of patient care in partnership with patients, families, and the care team.
• Coordinates and supervises nursing care delegated to Nursing Assistants and other staff.

Position Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule: Flexible overnight opportunities available! Choose from 12-hour shifts with every 3rd weekend or 8-hour shifts with every other weekend. Varying FTE available: 0.6-1.0 FTE.

Required Qualifications: Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master's degree program in Nursing.BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
• Candidate must have 1+ years L&D experience
