Job summary

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time assignment at a California correctional facility located in Calipatria, CA. The role requires an active CA RN license and a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Travel status is noted with a Thursday–Sunday schedule rotation and a 2-week orientation.

Compensation is $75 per hour, amounting to about $3,000 weekly for a 40-hour work week. This is a traveler position with set shift times and orientation timing.

AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. At the moment we are inURGENTneed of a Registered Nurse to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in Calipatria,CA.

Position Details:
40 Hours per week
Location: Calipatria, CA
Schedule: Monday; 6:00am-2:30pm and Tuesday/Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday; 1:30pm-10:00pm
Orientation: 2 weeks
Rate: $75/hr ($3000/week)
Status: Traveler

Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience

Responsibilities:

• a. Plan and implement nursing care including the administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments and disease prevention, orders by the physician, and obtain specimens for diagnostic testing;
• b Participate as a member of the Inter-disciplinary team in developing multi-disciplinary treatment efforts; assist physicians with medical or minor surgical procedures, and prepare records and other reports;
• c Provide observation, ongoing patient/youth assessments, and therapeutic intervention consistent with the patient/youth physical and psychological status; evaluate effectiveness of patient/youth treatment regimens and record progress;
• d Document all nursing activities in medical records, including an initial nursing assessment, treatment interventions, and patient/youth education; and
• e. Ensure a safe therapeutic environment for the patient/youth and staff; maintain order; and supervise the conduct of patient/youth.
