Job summary

AvaMed Workforce in Blythe, CA is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to join a correctional facility team. You will provide patient care under RN supervision, perform rounds, collect specimens, and support staff in daily operations.

Requirements include a valid CDPH CNA certificate. Shifts are Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm with pay of $31/hr local or $34/hr traveler, paid weekly via direct deposit.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under RN supervision.
• Perform and document rounds for patients receiving medical or psychiatric care and report changes to the RN.
• Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Assist other non-custody staff to provide patient/youth care.
• Prepare documentation for patient transfers or trips to appointments.
• Complete all required documentation of patient care and maintain logs.
• Clean, maintain, and check equipment.
• Check inventory, order and verify supplies.

AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. At the moment we are in URGENT need of a Certified Nurse Assistant to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in Blythe, CA.

Position Details: (Multiple Openings)

40 Hours per week

Location: Blythe, CA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Rate: $31/hr (Local) or $34/hr (Traveler) via Weekly Direct Deposit

Must have a valid Nursing Assistant Certificate issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

Under the direction of the Institution's CEO/CNE or designee, Temporary/Relief CNA shall provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Services in accordance with Institution/Facility policies and procedures. Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

• a. Assist patient/youth with activities of daily living and provide nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse;
• b. Perform and document rounds of patient/youth receiving medical and/or psychiatric care and report changes in patient/youth condition to the RN;
• c. Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing;
• d. Assist other non-custody staff to provide patient/youth care;
• e. Prepare documentation for patient/youth transfers to other Institutions/Facilities or trips to specialty appointments;
• f. Complete all required documentation of patient/youth care, provide written or oral reports, and record entries in logbooks;
• g. Clean, maintain, and check equipment;
• h. Check inventory, order and check supplies.
