Job summary

AvaMed Workforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time assignment at a correctional facility in San Diego, CA. The position is traveler status with a schedule of Thursday-Monday, 11:00pm-7:30am.

Orientation is two weeks. The rate is $75 per hour ($3000 per week). Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement nursing care including the administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments and disease prevention; obtain specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Participate as a member of the Inter-disciplinary team in developing multi-disciplinary treatment efforts; assist physicians with medical or minor surgical procedures; prepare records and other reports.
• Provide observation, ongoing patient assessments, and therapeutic intervention; evaluate effectiveness of treatment and record progress.
• Document all nursing activities in medical records; conduct initial assessments and patient education.
• Ensure a safe therapeutic environment for patients and staff; maintain order and supervise conduct.

AvaMed Workforce is a Healthcare Staffing Agency that staffs all of California State Correctional Facilities. At the moment we are in URGENT need of a Registered Nurse to take on a Full-Time assignment at the correctional facility located in San Diego, CA.

Position Details:

• 40 Hours per week
• Location: San Diego, CA
• Schedule: Thursday-Monday, 11:00pm-7:30am
