The Garden's Rehab & Care Center in Kingman, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead nursing care for residents and supervise staff. You will ensure policy adherence, deliver hands-on care, and support a compassionate team dedicated to seniors.

As an RN, you will oversee medications, rounds, and documentation, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance. This full-time position offers growth in a stable, community-focused facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state-approved school of nursing.
• Current Arizona Nursing License or a compact-state license.
• Maintain CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate care for residents and CNAs, ensuring a seamless care experience.
• Assume responsibility for all resident medications, including controlled substances.
• Safeguard medication storage areas per security protocols.
• Foster a culture of education for residents under your care.
• Efficiently manage CNA assignments and delegate tasks.
• Conduct comprehensive rounds and ensure Care Plans are followed.
• Uphold physician orders with meticulous attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and records.
• Complete all assigned MDS assessments and report truthfully.
• Report errors to the ADON/DON promptly.
• Track central supply items for each resident.
• Report any abuse to the DON/ADON/Administrator.
• Provide on-call support as scheduled.

Essential Job Functions

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate care for residents and CNA’s, ensuring a seamless and efficient care experience.


• Assume responsibility for all resident medications, including controlled substances, upholding the highest standards of accountability.


• Safeguard medication storage areas through diligent adherence to security protocols, ensuring residents' well‑being.


• Foster a culture of education and knowledge for residents under your care, enriching their healthcare journey.


• Efficiently manage CNA assignments and delegate special tasks within the CNA scope of practice.


• Conduct comprehensive rounds for all residents, ensuring the faithful execution of Care Plans.


• Uphold physician orders, whether verbal or written, with meticulous attention to detail within your scope.


• Demonstrate precision in all aspects of your work, particularly in thorough and accurate documentation.


• Maintain accurate documentation, including medication administration records, treatment records, and nurse charting.


• Complete all assigned MDS assessments and provide detailed, truthful reporting.


• Promptly report any errors to the ADON/DON, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.


• Streamline the tracking of central supply items for each resident.


• Vigilantly report any witnessed or suspected abuse to the DON, ADON, or Administrator, safeguarding resident well‑being.


• Provide \"on-call\" support to nursing staff as scheduled by the Administrator, ensuring seamless care delivery.


• Embrace the versatility of your role, tackling any other duties as assigned with enthusiasm and dedication.

Knowledge of:

• Medical terminology.


• Safety rules, policies and procedures, infection prevention and control procedures.


• Facility emergency/disaster response and evacuation procedures.


• Resident Rights and identifying abuse and/or neglect.

• Recognize any changes in condition and notify the physician immediately, asking for appropriate action.


• Identify when a situation cannot be handled and know when to ask for help.


• Adhere to the Arizona State Board of Nursing Rules and Nurse Practice Act.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements

Must be able to bear weight and lift 100 pounds or more.

• Requires constant physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and bending, stooping, pulling, stretching, turning, grasping and reaching.


• Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, thoroughness and quality of work assigned.


• Aural acuity to receive detailed information through oral communication, often from persons with speech impairment.


• Safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493.

Required Education, Experience and Training

• Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.


• Current Arizona Nursing License or a license from a compact license state.


• Obtain/maintain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Card at employee's expense.


• Maintain CPR Certification.


• Receive the COVID-19 vaccine or exemption.


• Complete annual Tuberculosis Testing.


• Fulfill the required 12 hours of annual in-service training.


• Mandated federal, state, and local communicable disease testing as required.
