Job summary

Ascension Medical Group in Wichita, KS seeks a Float nurse for day shift to support patient care under clinical leadership and ensure adherence to safety standards.

You will administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, monitor responses, and educate patients and families for post-discharge self-care to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Practical Nurse credentialed from Kansas Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year relevant experience.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
