Responsibilities include direct nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients, creation and evaluation of family-centered care plans, and participation in quality improvements. Requires BSN, active RN license, and PICU experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• BSN required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute-care hospital.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• CCRN certification preferred.

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and/or those undergoing cardiac surgery.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized, family-centered care plans.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process improvements.
• Educate patients and families as part of daily nursing care.
