Job summary

The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, part of HCA Houston Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care for critically ill pediatric patients, with a focus on congenital heart disease and surgery. You will lead planning of care, ensure safety, and support education and process improvements.

Requirements include RN licensure, ACLS/BLS/PALS within specified timelines, 1 year PICU experience, and a BSN in progress for Magnet designation.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the Nurse Practice Act, focusing on critically ill congenital heart disease and/or surgery.
• Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement.
• Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
