Job summary

Incredible Health is actively hiring for a Registered Nurse in the PCU/Stepdown unit in the San Luis Obispo, CA area. Positions available include day and night shifts with full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

The role requires ADN or higher, active RN license, BLS and ACLS, and experience in medium to high acuity settings. Benefits include 401(k), health coverage, PTO, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for medium to high acuity patients, monitoring vital signs and IV drips.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on managing acute or chronic conditions and equipment.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records per hospital policies.

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations
