Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Progressive Care Unit at Bartow Regional Medical Center. The role involves independent patient care, coordination with the health care team, and ensuring adherence to nursing standards in a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry setting.

The position requires an active RN license, BLS, and at least 6 months of acute RN experience, plus an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Shift hours are 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with every-other weekend work.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• The RN collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient and family for Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Identifies patients at risk and maintains a safe, therapeutic room environment.

Position Description: RN

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.
