SoftPath Medical is seeking experienced travel nurses for Surgical Progressive Care Unit in Indianapolis, Indiana. The unit handles ENT, thoracic, general surgery, urology, and medical overflow patients with ICU-level acuity.
Travelers must have ACLS and BCLS, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and be capable of cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and postoperative care. Floating to Med-Surg/PCU/ICU is required.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Local candidates are not eligible.
Travelers are expected to work every other weekend as per their contract.
Depending on operational needs, consecutive weekends may be required based on the highest demand.
Based on operational needs, travelers may be assigned charge nurse duties with appropriate training and resources provided.
As this is a teaching facility, all travel nurses must be willing to precept and/or have students shadow them during their assignment.

Travelers may be required to float to different levels of care, including Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU.
Resources will be provided if needed.
Refusal to float may result in termination of the contract.

Patient populations include:
Effective 11/30/24, internal nurses will not be permitted to work at the facilities, with exceptions.
Perioperative/OR nurses, allied health professionals, and ambulatory nurses are exempt and may continue working past this date.
Perioperative includes Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, PACU, Cath Lab, and Same Day Surgery nurses.
