Job summary

MedCadre in Athens, GA is seeking a nurse for night shift (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:00. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience; 1st timers are accepted. Unit handles CICU/MSICU, acute care floors, ED; post-op CABG and multiple complex conditions. Epic/Pyxis systems used; rotation includes weekends and holidays. Locals accepted at same rate.

Certification in BLS and ACLS is required. Candidate may be assigned within facility scope of practice with potential floating and no mandatory call.

Shift: Night (3x12 Hours) 19:00 7:00

Description: Minimum Experience: 2 years; 1st Timers are accepted

Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Unit admits patients from CICU, MSICU, acute care floors, and ED; Post-op CABG, thoracic surgeries, vascular surgeries; Resp. failure with multiple treatment modalities except invasive mechanical ventilation; Cardiac arrhythmias; DKA; GI bleed; Trauma; CVA; Seizures; CIWA; Metabolic disorders; Renal failure; GI disorders; CVA; Hypertensive emergency; Sepsis; Neuro disorders

Ratio / Census: 1:3-4; 32 Bed unit with average daily census of 21

Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, AirVo, BiPap, CPAP

Scrub Color: Navy Blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere

Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed

Call Requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
