Cynet Health is seeking an ICU RN for a 10-week night shift assignment in Milford, CT. The role requires 2+ years ICU experience, an active RN license, and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications. Epic experience is required and you may float to medical/surgical and critical care units as needed.

Adult and geriatric care with a 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio when floated; interdisciplinary support from IV teams, PT, respiratory, radiology, social services, and pharmacy.

Competenze

• RN license required with ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years' ICU experience; epic experience required.
• Experience in medical/surgical and critical care units; ability to float as needed.

Mansioni

• Provide care for adults/geriatrics in ICU and float to other units as needed.
• Monitor and manage ventilated patients and arterial lines.
• Perform arterial blood gas interpretation and respond to alarms.
• Administer blood products and titrate drips (vasoactive/others).
• Adhere to infection control and PPE protocols; maintain patient safety.

Description:No holiday time off requests are allowed.RTO should be kept to a minimum.Will work every other weekend.Will float to medical/surgical units and also critical care units as needed.Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2 on all shifts unless floated to medical/surgical units.The following skills are required:

• Arterial line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Continuous IV sedation
• Management of emergency medications
• Infection prevention
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Isolation precautions/PPE
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG
• PICC line management
• Starting and maintaining IVs
• Titration of cardiac drips
• Titration of vasoactive drips
• Ventilator management

Additional Information:This unit supports adults and geriatrics.The daily census and number of visits per day may vary.Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.A reference is required for submission.Candidates must have been gone for 2 years to return as a traveler.Modules are non-billable and must be completed pre-start and annually, varying by specialty.
