Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
• BSN strongly preferred or must obtain within 3 years.
• Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving lives, exceptional teamwork, and patient-focused care are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to provide safe and individualized patient-centered care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and other health care team members regarding patient status, care and plans.
• Responsible for optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
• Medication administration utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery of medications.
• Patient and family-centered care aimed at optimizing health, wellness and disease management.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration in management of patient plans from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care.
