Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care. The nurse will develop individualized care plans using the nursing process, addressing physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs while respecting cultural beliefs and values.

The role requires specialized nursing education, strong communication, and the ability to educate patients and families, participate in inter-professional teams, and support discharge planning and quality

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Effective communication and appropriate delegation within teams.
• Knowledge of nursing assessment and care planning.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and follow-up care.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required.
• RN licensed in New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Interact with colleagues, patients, families, and staff to provide respectful care.
• Educate patients and families and identify learning needs.
• Follow nursing protocols to minimize risk and ensure safe care.
• Use information systems to document and monitor outcomes for quality.
• Work within nursing and inter-professional teams to deliver coordinated care.
• Support committees and contribute to safety and quality improvements.
