Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - Trans Mountain Campus in El Paso, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical patient care on days with supervision of staff and coordination of care per nursing process. You will administer medications, support safety and infection control, and respond to emergencies per hospital policy.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing school, 1 year RN experience for PRN status, and current licenses with AHA BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 1 year of RN experience for PRN status required.
• AHA BLS certified; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by policy.

Responsibilities

• The RN provides high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.
• Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
• Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Performs and fulfills all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.
• Responsible for knowing the Hospital’s emergency codes, including the purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the Hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.
