Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse in Florida to perform age-appropriate care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and the health team to coordinate procedures, monitor patient status, and lead in planning and implementing care plans.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring safety, effective communication, and patient education. BLS and an RN license are required; ADN is entry-level with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in NY and/or CT; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physiologic health status and develop outcomes.
• Assess psychosocial health status and coping needs.
• Identify patient outcomes and establish individualized goals.
• Formulate and prioritize plan of care; coordinate resources.
• Implement plan of care and monitor safety, meds, treatments.
• Evaluate care to improve outcomes and document results.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team on treatment plans.
• Perform Decubitus care and skin integrity measures.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Educate patients and families about condition and care.
• Support discharge planning and referrals as needed.
