Job summary

Northwell is seeking a Registered Nurse in New York to deliver age-appropriate care using the nursing process. You will assess physiologic and psychosocial health, plan and implement care, document progress, and collaborate with physicians and the health team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires a NYS RN license, BLS, and strong clinical judgment. You will participate in discharge planning, patient education, and continuous performance improvement within the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut.
• BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Assesses patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Identifies patient outcomes and plans of care.
• Implements and coordinates the plan of care with the health team.
• Evaluates care and documents patient progress.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team on treatments.
• Provides discharge planning and patient education.
