Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital, Brevard, North Carolina, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join our care team. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, following established standards of practice.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, documentation, patient teaching, and ensuring safe, compassionate treatment. NC RN licensure and BLS are required; one year of hospital nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NC Board of Nursing licensure required; eNLC license may apply.
• Education: ADN or BSN.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and care team.
• Documents administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
• Assesses pain regularly and promotes effective pain management.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
