Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN - ER coverage. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models.

Responsibilities include pain assessment, timely documentation, patient advocacy, and patient/family education about conditions and follow-up. RN must have NC licensure, BLS, and at least one year of hospital nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Current RN licensure with North Carolina Board of Nursing, eNLC may apply.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year hospital nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain and promote effective pain management with timely reassessments.
• Perform procedures and document care in the patient record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, plans, medications, and follow-up.
• Teach on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
