Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC seeks a PRN Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. The RN will follow established nursing models and advocate for patients and families to support exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications include an Associate's or BSN, NC RN licensure (eNLC may apply) within 30 days of employment, and BLS certification. One year of hospital nursing experience is preferred.

• RN coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per department standards.
• Collaborates with medical providers and care team.
• Uses nursing model: Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.
• Advocates for patients and families and supports vision/mission.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes pain management.
• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as ordered; documents care in the chart.
• Responds promptly to patient requests and anticipates needs.
• Teaches patients, families, and caregivers about condition, plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
