Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati is seeking a registered nurse to interview patients, document in the EMR, record vital signs, and assist physicians during examinations, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS certification, and at least three years of RN experience; BSN preferred. Proficiency with Centricity/EMR and Microsoft Office a plus; strong communication and teamwork required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• 3 years RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine medical problems and document in EMR, record vital signs.
• Follow up on physician orders, inform patient of results, educate patient, and document in EMR.
• Document nursing history and initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
• Abstract patient records via EMR and support nursing functions. Use Centricity and EMR features to assist care.
• Respond to emergencies per nursing standards; maintain crash cart and defibrillator.
• All other duties as assigned.
