Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse to interview patients, document medical problems and vital signs, and assist physicians in examinations while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include following physician orders, updating tests and results in EMR, documenting nursing history, and educating patients about procedures. Strong knowledge of Centricity/EMR and BLS certification are required; BSN preferred and ADN/ Diploma acceptable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN by State Board; BLS required.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience preferred.
• BSN preferred; ADN/diploma accepted.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to determine medical problems and document in EMR.
• Follow physician orders and inform patients of test results and further treatment.
• Document nursing history and initiate patient education plans.
• Abstract patient records; use EMR features like tasking and messaging.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain crash cart and defibrillator.
• All other duties as assigned.
