Job summary

MetroHealth Parma Health Center is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for our Acute Care Medical/Post-Surgical Unit. The unit has 15 beds plus one trauma bed, with telemetry monitoring and advanced nursing tech.

You will provide direct patient care including IV insertions, blood draws, and post-surgical treatment, while coordinating with LPNs, PCNAs, and providers. Requirements include Ohio RN licensure and current BLS; BSN and Magnet certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Ohio RN licensure.
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• BSN preferred; Magnet-certified pathways are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing for Medical, Post-Surgical and Trauma Level 3 patients.
• Perform IV insertions, blood draws, and telemetry monitoring.
• Demonstrate time management, critical thinking, and delegation.

Bi-weekly Hours: 72.00

Shift: 7a-7p/7p-7a; Rotating weekends, Rotating holidays

Up to $10,000 sign on bonus for RNs with qualifying experience

Primary Patient Population:

• Medical

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy

Number of beds on unit:

• 15 beds plus 1 Trauma bed as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
