Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Louisiana is seeking registered nurses or licensed practical nurses to coordinate patient care and triage calls for palliative services. The role acts as a liaison among physicians, patients, and staff, handling medication orders and nursing duties as needed.
Ideal candidates will hold an active LA BON license and have experience in oncology, infusion, or hospice, with strong knowledge of pain management and patient care coordination.

SCOPE: Coordinate patient care requests, which occur by phone for palliative care and serves as a resource to staff. Reviews all incoming faxes to the office. Answers pharmacy calls and all medication refill requests. Coordinates physician orders (i.e., home health, hospice, hospital, etc). Serves as liaison between physician/provider and other facilities and a liaison between physician/provider and patient.
