Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Louisiana seeks an experienced Oncology Nurse to provide clinical support to the Medical Oncologist, coordinate services, and ensure smooth patient care from entry to follow-up.

Requires active LA RN or LPN license, BLS CPR, and 5+ years nursing experience; ONS/OCN preferred; EMR maintenance and supervision of LPNs/Medical Assistants are part of the role. We offer a collaborative team with opportunities for growth.

Job Description

SCOPE: Provides clinical support to the Medical Oncologist; Functions as a point person/coordinator of services for oncologists and oncology patients. Promotes the smooth transition of patient care from entry into MBPCC system until completion of treatment and throughout follow-up process. Assists designated physician(s) in a variety of professional and paraprofessional patient care activities as specified and requested.
