Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our PACU team in Louisville, KY. This PRN/local contract role focuses on post-anesthesia care in ambulatory surgery centers, with day shifts and variable assignments.

Minimum two years PACU recovery experience, KY RN license, BLS and ACLS, and an accredited nursing program are required. Prior ASC/perioperative experience is preferred; strong teamwork and precise documentation in EHR are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in Kentucky.
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU or post-anesthesia recovery experience.
• Previous ambulatory surgery center experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from sedation or anesthesia in an ambulatory setting.
• Monitor vitals, oxygen saturation, LOC, and recovery status.
• Maintain airway and provide oxygen therapy as needed.
• Assess and manage postoperative pain and anesthesia-related effects.

Spectrum Healthcare Services is recruiting experienced PACU Registered Nurses interested in upcoming PRN and local contract opportunities at ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in Louisville, KY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providepost-anesthesia care to patients recovering from sedation or general anesthesiain an ambulatory surgery setting
  
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, levelof consciousness, and overall recovery status
  
• Maintain a clear and open airway through appropriate positioning, suctioning, and oxygen therapy asneeded
