Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Spectrum Healthcare Services is recruiting experienced PACU Registered Nurses interested in upcoming PRN and local contract opportunities at ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in Munster, IN.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providepost-anesthesia care to patients recovering from sedation or general anesthesiain an ambulatory surgery setting
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, levelof consciousness, and overall recovery status
• Maintain a clear and open airway through appropriate positioning, suctioning, and oxygen therapy asneeded
• Assess and manage postoperative pain and other anesthesia-related side effects
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments during the recovery process
• Evaluate patient readiness for discharge and provide postoperative instructions to patients and family members
• Communicate patientstatus and recovery progress with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and clinicalstaff
• Maintain accurate andtimely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
