Job summary

Spectrum Healthcare Services is seeking experienced PACU Registered Nurses for upcoming PRN and local contract opportunities at ambulatory surgery centers in Crown Point, IN.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of PACU experience, an Indiana RN license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications to support patient recovery in a fast-paced ASC environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Indiana.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU or post-anesthesia recovery experience.
• Ambulatory surgery center or outpatient surgical experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from sedation or general anesthesia in an ambulatory surgery setting.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, level of consciousness, and recovery status.
• Maintain airway and provide oxygen therapy as needed.
• Assess and manage postoperative pain and anesthesia-related side effects.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments during recovery.
• Evaluate readiness for discharge and provide postoperative instructions.
• Communicate patient status with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and clinical staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Providepost-anesthesia care to patients recovering from sedation or general anesthesiain an ambulatory surgery setting
  
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, levelof consciousness, and overall recovery status
  
• Maintain a clear and open airway through appropriate positioning, suctioning, and oxygen therapy asneeded
