Job summary

Ascension is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the Orthopedic department at Seton Medical Center Austin in Austin, TX. This day-shift, full-time position requires a Texas RN license and BLS within 30 days of hire.

You will lead patient care, coordinate multidisciplinary plans, and ensure smooth execution of physician orders. Eligibility includes a Diploma in Nursing and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in Texas.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
