Job summary

Ascension in Austin, TX is seeking a licensed RN for the Spine and Scoliosis department. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, coordinating interdisciplinary patient care and executing physician and nursing orders to ensure timely, effective treatment.

You will develop and monitor individualized care plans, manage discharge planning, and communicate changes in patient condition to maintain safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from Texas Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider or Instructor cert within 30 days of hire.
• Diploma from accredited nursing program or BSN with active RN license and MSN enrollment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required OR a bachelors level degree not in nursing, an active RN License, and enrolled in an Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing Program with a minimum of 1 year in the program completed.

Additional Preferences

• Experience answering phones and guiding patients to the right care (phone triage)
• Able to speak Spanish (a big plus)
