Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Ortho Med Surg team. The RN will manage patient care episodes in collaboration with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality care.

The schedule is 0.9 FTE with 12‑hour overnight shifts and every third weekend. Requires MN RN license and BLS; BSN preferred with plan to obtain/complete within 2 years of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles for patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Manages the episode of patient care in partnership with patients, families, and other providers to deliver safe, quality health care.
• Direct care by the RN or coordination and supervision of care by Nursing Assistants and other personnel.

This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule: 0.9 FTE, Straight Overnight 12-hour shifts and every third weekend

Required Qualifications: Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing.BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines
