Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Ortho Med Surg team, delivering safe, high-quality care to patients and families. The RN collaborates with care teams to coordinate outcomes and continuity of care in a busy unit.

The position features 0.9 FTE with straight overnight 12-hour shifts and every third weekend, requiring an active Minnesota RN license and BLS certification. BSN is preferred and encouraged within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• BSN preferred and to be obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Valid Minnesota RN license.
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
