Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced RN for Neuroendovascular Surgery at Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. Schedule: Day | PRN. You will provide both scrub and circulating support, assisting the operating team and ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process.

Qualifications

• Active or compact Florida RN licensure as required by hiring entity.
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience preferred.
• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire; ALS/ACLS-compatible may be required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub functions including instrument and supply handling during procedures.
• Perform circulating functions: monitor patient condition, document and coordinate care before, during and after procedures.
• Assist operating physician with surgical tasks: hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure; position patients as needed.
• Prepare operating rooms and equipment for use, ensuring sterility and readiness.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.
• Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure as well as patient positioning.
• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
