Shift: Day Shift – 8, 10, or 12 hours

Schedule: Monday–Friday | No weekends, holidays, or required on-call

Salary: $31.35–$46.59 per hour, depending on experience

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a fast-paced, team-oriented surgical facility in Manhattan, Kansas. This role is ideal for an RN with strong orthopedic experience, particularly in total joint replacements and sports medicine procedures.

The facility performs approximately 20 surgeries daily across six operating rooms, covering a variety of surgical specialties. Candidates must be comfortable working across multiple specialties and supporting operating room operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative process.
• Prepare operating rooms, gather surgical instruments and supplies, and ensure readiness for procedures.
• Circulate for a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, ENT, gynecology, spine, urology, cataract, and general surgery.
• Support total joint replacement and sports medicine procedures, including cases involving Zimmer and Arthrex equipment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient surgical workflows.
• Perform terminal cleaning and prepare operating rooms for subsequent cases.
• Assist with instrument handling and putting away surgical instruments in the Sterile Processing Department (SPD), as needed.
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and accurate clinical documentation.
• Assist with other departmental responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Strong orthopedic experience is required, particularly total joint replacements and sports medicine procedures.
• Experience with Zimmer and Arthrex orthopedic equipment is required.
• Ability to work across multiple surgical specialties in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records.
• Broad experience across multiple surgical specialties.
• Flexibility to assist with operating room and sterile processing duties.

Available Schedules

• 8-hour shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 10-hour shift: 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• 12-hour shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Available work schedules: 32, 36, or 40 hours per week.
• Monday–Friday schedule with no regular weekend shifts, worked holidays, or required on-call duties.
• Occasional earlier arrival at 6:00 AM may be required for certain early-start surgical cases.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $31.35 to $46.59, depending on experience and agreed-upon schedule.
