Job summary

SoftPath Medical seeks an Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in the Boston area. Expect two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts, rotating days and evenings, with 40 hours per week and 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (excluding on-call).

Position primarily at the West Main campus with possible float to East or CVI Operating Rooms; on-call and weekend coverage may apply with 30-minute on-call response time.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant license required.
• Experience in neurology, orthopedic trauma, and kidney transplant.
• Proficiency in scrubbing and/or circulating for multiple surgical specialties (general, robotics, transplant, orthopedics, neuro).

Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate for general surgery, robotics, transplants, orthopedics, neurology.
• Support trauma, spine, ENT, gynecology, urology, and other procedures.

Operating Room Registered Nurse - Contract Position

Position Details

Guaranteed contract hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments – guaranteed hours do not include any on-call time worked.

Shift and Schedule

• Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts
• Rotating day and evening shifts
• 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week
• Up to two weekends per month, either on call (7a-7p or 7p-7a on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) or working shifts
• 30-minute on-call response time
• One short call shift weekly (3a-7a or 5p-9p)
• Eligible to work holidays during the contract
• Return to office (RTO) requests must be approved and submitted at the time of assignment

Location

Primarily based on the West Main campus with possible float to East or CVI Operating Rooms.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Medical Assistant license required
• Experience in neurology, orthopedic trauma, and kidney transplant
• Proficiency in scrubbing and/or circulating for general surgery, robotics, transplants, orthopedics, neurology, spine, ENT (primarily head & neck), gynecology, urology, organ procurement, and trauma

Operating Room Environment

The West Operating Room includes 10 operating rooms and specializes in inpatient Level I trauma surgery. The team handles a broad range of surgical procedures including bariatric, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic trauma, spine, major plastic reconstruction, robotic surgery, and kidney and liver transplants.

Additional Information

• Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Orientation sessions are held weekly on Mondays, except holidays
• Travelers who have worked at this facility as permanent or per diem staff within the last six months must have a six-month separation before being considered
