Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed by NYS Dept. of Education.
• Experience in OPWDD Certified homes, community residence and nursing homes.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.
• On-call via Phone and Lotus Notes access 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Manage nursing care and determine need for physician attention.
• Coordinate nursing care with routine activities and comprehensive treatment plans.
• Evaluate and plan discharge and community referrals as appropriate.
• Supervise medication administration practicum and ensure proper disposal of outdated drugs.
• Work on-call and varied shifts as needed.
• Collaborate with consulting medical services to implement treatments.
