Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a licensed nurse to oversee nursing care for individuals housed in a community facility. The role includes assessing needs, coordinating medical orders, and ensuring adherence to comprehensive treatment plans under RN supervision.

You will manage medication oversight, develop nursing plans, and coordinate physician engagements to support residents’ health and safety in daily facility operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in community residence and nursing homes is a plus.
• Licensed by NYS Dept. of Education.
• CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates client’s nursing care needs on a periodic basis under RN supervision.
• Manages medical, dental, and nutritional care per treatment plans.
• Develops and updates written nursing plans for each client.
• Ensures medications are correct and timely, and handles drug inventory.
• Coordinates medical appointments and hospital admissions.
• Communicates critical incidents to Program Manager/RN.
