Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse – Obstetrics for a part-time night shift. You will deliver safe, evidence-based care to antepartum and postpartum patients in the Birthplace, following the nursing process.

The role requires an active state RN license, BSN preferred, BLS within 30 days, NRP within 90 days, and fetal monitoring competency. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered and compensation ranges from $37.00 to $51.28 per hour, depending on experience

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
• Basic Fetal Monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• The Specialty Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Ensures a safe environment for patients and visitors and uses the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Pay Transparency

Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $37.00 to $51.28. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
