Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Observation team. As a partner for good, you will manage patient care episodes in collaboration with families and the care team, ensuring safety and quality throughout shifts.

The 0.9 FTE overnight schedule provides an opportunity to contribute to patient experience in Minnesota, with BSN preferred and MN RN licensure required, plus BLS, to support high-quality inpatient care.

Qualifications

• Associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• BLS provider status per AHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient care episodes in partnership with patients, families and the care team.
• Coordinates and supervises care delivered by Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Delivers safe, high-quality health care in collaboration with providers.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) manages the episode of patient care in partnership with persons, care givers, groups and other providers to reach a shared goal of delivering safe, quality health care. This patient care may be through direct care by the RN, or it may be through coordinating and supervising patient care delegated to, Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed assistive personnel.

Work Schedule:

0.9 FTE. Straight Overnight 12-hour shifts & every third weekend

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an associate, baccalaureate, or master’s degree program in Nursing. BSN preferred and generally expected that BSN is obtained within 2 years of hire.

• Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse License
• BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
