Job summary

Ascension Health in Nashville, TN is seeking a qualified RN for the OB High Risk unit, full-time nights at Saint Thomas Midtown. You will implement care plans, coordinate disciplines, and manage orders to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Licensure includes TN RN or compact-state license; ACLS, BLS, and NRP needed within defined timelines; a nursing diploma is required. Labor and delivery experience is preferred and supports a strong multidisciplinary team culture.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Tennessee or multi-state license.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
