Job summary

Ascension in Panama City, FL seeks an ICU nurse for the night shift on a part-time schedule. You will implement and monitor patient care plans, document patient conditions, and serve as the primary coordinator among disciplines for well-coordinated ICU care.

Florida RN license and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred. A nursing diploma or higher from an accredited program is expected, with a commitment to compassionate care within Ascension.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required prior to hire.
• BLS Provider certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Diploma or higher in nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans in ICU.
• Monitor and document patient conditions and outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physicians and nursing teams for seamless patient care.
• Review discharge planning needs with healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What Additional Preferences We're Seeking

• 1+ year acute care experience
• ICU/Critical Care experience preferred
