Job summary

SoftPath Medical is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator for a contract position at Milton Hospital in Milton, MA. The role focuses on education, orientation, and professional development within the acute care setting.

You will serve as educator, consultant, researcher, facilitator, role model, mentor, and leader for nursing staff. The ideal candidate holds a BSN with MA licensure, and has experience in PACU, ENDO, OR, and Central Processing, plus BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts license current.
• BSN required; MSN in education or CNS preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• BLS and ACLS instructor certification required prior to start.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience; critical care experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Registered Nurse Educator - Contract Position

Location: Milton Hospital

Shift: 8-hour days, 07:00 - 15:30, Monday through Friday

Position Details

Contract guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly on all assignments. These guaranteed hours do not include any on-call time worked.

Candidate Requirements

The candidate should have at least PACU experience and general education experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in PACU, Endoscopy (ENDO), Central Processing, and Operating Room (OR).

• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

Role and Responsibilities

This Registered Nurse will serve as an educator, consultant, researcher, facilitator, role model, mentor, and leader within the acute care setting and the nursing division. Responsibilities include assessing staff educational needs, planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating programs such as orientation and other educational offerings aimed at promoting adult learning, improving patient outcomes, and supporting professional development. All activities will be carried out in alignment with the Nursing Division’s philosophy, goals, and objectives.

Additional Requirements

• Must have been separated from the previous employer for at least 6 months to be considered

Passing required testing prior to acceptance of offer:

• Tests include ECG/Telemetry and Medications, administered as pass/fail.
• Candidates have one attempt only to pass.
• Testing is conducted via Zoom Protector meeting within 48 hours of confirmation.
• An 85% passing score is required with no opportunity for remediation or retake.
• Candidates are encouraged to prepare using the provided study guide containing tips and answers.
