Job summary

Ascension Healthcare in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Neonatal ICU II nurse for The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart. The role is night shift and PRN, emphasizing coordination across disciplines to ensure high-quality patient care and timely discharge planning.

Active Florida RN licensure with BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required; STABLE certification is preferred; NICU experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinate disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• + Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• + Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education:

• + Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• + One (1) year of Pediatric RN experience, NICU preferred.
